Louise has been working as Design Advisor for CABE and the London Borough of Haringey.
For the past year she has been taking part in dialogue to chose the developer for the High Road West redevelopment of North Tottenham, a mixed development rehousing the existing community as well as creating a visitor destination and a local neighbourhood centre with education cultural and employment opportunitites. The chosen Master plan by Studio Egret West will create a vibrant and active centre for Tottenham. It builds on the existing street pattern and uses existing fabric to lock the new buildings and public spaces into the development
July 2017 Haringey Quality Review Panel
Louise has been appointed to the Haringey Quality Review Panel.
The development pressures in Haringey from Crouch End to Tottenham are tenacious, like many other London Boroughs where land values have outstripped the housing supply. Developers must be encouraged to act in the interest of long term community interest , and the QRP aims to apply rigorous standards to achieve high quality buildings and public spaces.
April 2017 Christ Church, North Finchley
Having completed the Quinquennial Inspection, Louise is currently working with the Buildings Committee to develop strategies to ensure this handsome Gothic Church and Church Hall continues to meet the needs of its community.
