Louise

Louise has been the sole Director of Cazenove Architects since 1998. Under her design leadership, the company has focussed on creating award-winning, well-crafted buildings in the education, community and mixed-use sectors. She has facilitated the conservation and conversion of several listed and historic buildings.

Louise acts as a Client Advisor for RIBA. She is on a number of national Design Review Panels and chairs the Hackney Design Review Panel. Louise was a Partner in the AHRC Knowledge Exchange that developed the Workhome model with the London Metropolitan University.

Louise has developed a practice ethos based on socially responsive architecture which celebrates local community and sustainable design, typified by Cazenove’s live-work development for Clarence Mews in Hackney where the practice is based. This prototype has become an exemplar for mixed housing that stimulates neighbourhood repair and economic regeneration.
